I wrote a song.

It's a little unripe and rusty at the moment, I'm still working on it. I'm very happy with what I've done so far though, I've been wanting to write a song for quite some time and never thought I would get there. The keyboard overpowers my voice on these videos, I'm not greatly confident of using my voice so much which is also something I'm working on! When I first started recording myself singing it used to make me cringe and I couldn't deal with it, but now it's not so bad, I can almost manage listening to myself sing without feeling nauseous. I think that may be because the words and the music fit together nicely, and I actually enjoy it, very much.
The song sounds a little bare at the moment too, I'd like to hear another instrument playing along with it, either a violin or an acoustic guitar, and I think another voice would sound interesting too, so I may make some flyers and search for someone who would be interested, maybe.
I started writing poems about two years ago and it was a year ago that I thought about creating the words into songs, I really longed to have them played out with music and to use my voice as an outlet, so when I wrote the words and put them together with music, I was almost floating with happiness. I think it is important when you're making work to sometimes want to do it for yourself and have fun with it, if you put too much pressure on yourself and want to do the work for someone else all the time, I think it lacks a lot of creativity, there's a loss of human emotion. I would like to hear what people think of it so far though, whether good or bad comments!
